A Problem Resolved

For the last week and a bit, we have been without a washing machine. In the past, with the older designs of machines, I could fix them myself. However, as machines have got more modern and are computer based, running software which the manufacturer will not release, there is little that any home user can do to fix their machine. For the last week and a bit, we have been building up a steadily growing pile of dirty washing, although the urgent items have been washed in my daughter's machine. Today the repairman came plugged in his diagnostic computer and promptly decided that the fault was the pump; a few minutes work and the machine was once again running. We will now be doing two or three loads of washing each day, for a few days. Today's blip is the offending machine, now it is fixed.
