W-I-D-E on Wednesday: "Bridge"

Here's my offering for today's Widwed challenge, hosted by Jensphotos from "the other Newcastle". It was a grab shot on my phone as we set off on Stage 1 of our journey: we're now in a hotel at London Gatwick Airport for the night.

The photo was taken from our train as it crossed the Tyne on the King Edward Bridge. The nearest bridge in the photo carries the Metro light railway across the river. Beyond that you can see the greyish "High Level Bridge" which has railway track on the top and a road underneath. Further away you can just see the (lower level) Swing Bridge, then the iconic "Tyne Bridge" (a smaller version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which Jen has blipped today).. To the right of that the white arch of the "blinking eye" Millennium Bridge is just visible.

(See Dollydoug's blip for better photos of some of the bridges!)

So sorry Jen, this is "Bridges" not just "Bridge"!
