KENDAL COLLEGE RESTAURANT

Another meal out today - at Kendal College Restaurantt this time, and at lunch time.

I didn't know about this before, although when we lived in Yeovil, Somerset, we sometimes visited the college there a meal.

Basically it is to give the catering students the opportunity to practice their skills.  You have a fixed 3 course meal, a choice of 3 for each course and 3 courses.  The price is £14.95 for the three courses including tea or coffee (unless you want a specialist coffee like cappuccino that you pay a little extra for that).

It was amazing - excellent food.  Parking can be difficult but if you choose your time so that you arrive, like we did about 10 past 12.  This is because a lot of the students leave for their respective lunch breaks so then you can fit it.  You finish in time for them to get back.

It was very full day and we had a table of 11.  Excellent service and food.  I plumped for the fish & chips as my main course, simply because we had the later time and they had run out of the course I had wanted.  It was excellent and a good size for 3 courses and a lunch time.  I usually find Fish & Chips in restaurants way too big but this was just perfect.  The other options for the mai was Pork Belly (of which they'd sold out) or the vegetarian option Angeloni, which is similar to ravioli.

A very pleasant lunch time.  We also managed to get out inbetween showers so didn't get wet at all.

Please excuse the poor quality of the photos but they were taken on my phone and the one of the group of us was taken by the waiter using my phone, so the further away people are blurred - but you get the overall idea anyway.

That's all for now.  Do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
