Scott’s Head

This morning the weather was distinctly British with lashing rain and mist and overcast skies. It was warm though so quite tolerable.
We read for a while then went out to find some lunch, and had a look at the many stalls which open to sell to the cruise ship people. Managed to buy  some Dominican ground coffee and some Dominican vanilla essence. Hope we can get them home without breaking!
After that we got a taxi to the southern part of the island to Scott’s Head where there is good snorkelling. I didn’t snorkel as I haven’t been able to buy a correctly sized one yet. But LooseCanon had a  go and reported that it wasn’t as good as Champagne Reef. So I felt better about that.
The people of Scott’s head were having a lovely chilled Sunday afternoon, some swimming some hanging out listening to music and this man tidying up his fishing nets as fishermen the world over have to do.
Extra is the island of Martinique in the distance, the village of Soufriere as we passed through and the vast cruise ship the Aida Perla disappearing into the sunset.
Oh yes. Today is our Wedding Anniversary. 46th. Even longer than I’ve been blipping.
PS Apparently there was a small earthquake here today. At 7.39 am. That’s about when I woke up. Can’t say I noticed it.
