Sami Village

We went to the Sami museum in Inari today. Fascinating history . A very widespread nomadic (historically ) lifestyle across Northern Scandinavia and Russia.
We have  been to several places in the world now where we’ve visited these types of museums and visitor centres and it strikes me how similar these ancient people were, whether in China Peru, Chile New Zealand  Britain etc.. Just making the most of their surroundings and natural resources, living tough but simple lives, worrying about their crops their children or their security.
Shows that there is more which unites us than that which divides us.
This is a teepee which was surprisingly cosy.
Saw the trees between our hotel buildings were nicely backlit today with a slightly pink sky as the sun set just after lunch!
Today is our 47th Wedding Anniversary. Might have a drink to celebrate.
