Rest day

Today was designated as a free day. LooseCanon decided to book himself onto an ice fishing trip. This involves going on a sleigh to the lake drilling a hole in the ice, dangling a bit of line and a lure through the hole and waiting hopefully to catch a massive perch, trout or something to cook for lunch. The temperature this morning was minus thirty.
I decided not to go. I walked to the village of Inari with some other people and looked around there. The snow covered trees were just stunning, and the company was good. A brisk walk kept us all warm.
LooseCanon got very cold and didn’t catch any fish but said it was an interesting experience.
Last night we got to bed about 1.30 am. Apparently at 2 am there was the most spectacular Northern Lights display. We missed it. Grrr!
There is no activity forecast for tonight, there again they said that last night.
