Outgoing Tide….. Kaiteriteri

Day one of my stay at Kaiteriteri….my happy place. Our family has been camping here for 50 years. The changes over the years are immense. But it still holds its magic for our family and close friends. Margaret and I did our morning walk of 7.5kms…. A traditional route to the “Kaiteriteri Forest” sign and back. Around lunchtime Sons James and Duncan arrived to put up our Gazebo right next to the caravan awning. It gets very hot in the camping grounds and the shade provided by the Gazebo is very inviting on a hot day. A cloud bank appeared in the south-west as Margaret and I took an evening walk. It made for interesting light on the estuary and outgoing tide.
