Fluffed up for warmth

Photographed this young male blackbird through the kitchen window, and airbrushed out some of the window reflection not to distract from the subject. There were birds galore today, including oodles of sparrows, three robins at once (!), and many other song birds, plus our pheas' in res'.

Spent a lot of the day with Family B, which was as delightful as ever. Also made some cupcakes aka chocolate buns (without my co-baker this time!) at home. Very cold today, only just above freezing, and below by the time the car went in the garage* early evening.

*This is the first house for decades where the car's fitted in the garage. Don't know how long it'll last, but we intend to do our best - are you impressed?! ;-)
