An early evening walk in the park

After the mornings we had it was good to get out. Susan had a very challenging morning when she went to visit her mum. Doreen is anxious about us going away even though her other daughter will be down for some of the time. She wasn’t feeling well either. All of which, as well as other circumstances made for a distressing visit.

I had the pleasure of endless detailed tasks. Doreen’s landlord insurance ends while we’re away so it needs to be renewed. The quote was much higher than expected. If you’ve ever had to do comparisons you’ll know what it’s like. Filled in forms, had phone calls, not yet resolved.

My phone contract is up for renewal too. A bit of haggling got it down to £7 from £10 a month for the same allowances as a result of searching what other providers were offering.

Researched and bought a SIM for the phone in the USA as now we don’t get free roaming. Bought a wireless charging pad for Susan’s iPhone. Rang up about adding my brother in law to my car insurance as they’re coming by train and need a car. Checked and reconciled credit card statement.

It was good for both of us to get out into the cold crisp late afternoon air and enjoy the park, the sunset and silhouettes against the steely blue sky fading later to a deep rich red. I just love winter tree silhouettes.
