Attacked by the Talisman of Tai Chi

Although it is Thursday, there is a very "end-of-the-week" feel about today, primarily, I suppose, because Ottawacker Jr.'s school is closed tomorrow for a staff Professional Development Day.

So it seemed like a perfect time to catch up with Mike Jeffreys, one of my oldest friends in Ottawa. What was originally going to be a "quick catch up" turned into a 2.5-hour dim sum feast, during which time we formed a new political party: the A-C-B-AP, or the Anti-Can't-Be-Arsed Party, whose primary aim is to counter the perceived apathy infesting Canada's populace. We haven't yet decided who will be leader or, indeed, on a manifesto. But I can tell you that we have a second meeting booked for sometime soon.

Today, the Beijing Legend; tomorrow, Billings Bridge Shopping Centre.
