Radiation Fog

I took today’s picture as I walked to feed Sybil. It is a Radiation Fog and for those that do not know I have included a definition, below, taken from the internet. By the time I walked back home it had dispersed.

My husband, the UK’s top fog expert and only one of about twelve in the world, in his working life, informed that this was a radiation fog.

The temperature at noon today was four degrees Celsius.

The cooling of land overnight by thermal radiation cools the air close to the surface. This reduces the ability of the air to hold moisture, allowing condensation and fog to occur. Radiation fog usually dissipates soon after sunrise as the ground warms
