Incongruous

Two flat viewings this morning, and we're not at all hopeful that anything will come of them, bearing in mind that it's a first-floor flat with a small concrete 'yard outside, and a huge garage/workshop. Not ideal for a couple that own a greyhound, though I did spot them standing on the street last week quite clearly trying to size up the workshop. Strangely, yesterday they showed very little interest in said outbuilding! One half of the other couple needs to use a stick and found it very difficult to negotiate the stairs, as well as the steps from the hall into several rooms. We shall see...

In the afternoon a trip to the recycling centre with MrM. He drove the scenic route on the way home, to avoid the queue of traffic outside the school, and this is the view of Humbleton Hill from the road. The bright green of the winter wheat looks slightly incongruous against the backdrop of the wintery hills. No chance of a shot without wire or pylons from here!

A nice relaxing evening for me, while MrM went to a music session in Kelso. Good to chat with Tom for a while.
