Winter Posy

In places which the winter sun can reach catkins have been appearing.  The first crocus have appeared in the open garden and more snowdrops are opening their flowers.  A month from the Winter Solstice and the signs of Spring are slowly increasing in number.   Also in the garden, the Cretan from of Iris uguicularis is producing a new flush of flowers, the most flowers I have seen on it in 25 years.  It's clearly at home in Wales.

After another very positive cuppa and chat session this morning, I popped into pottery and put feet on my soap dish.   Then the dogs had a run in the ball field and a walk up the lane.   Back home I made almond flavour biscuits.  An evening on the phone with Jamie who's understandably very apprehensive about his discharge home tomorrow.
