Wound up in Wexford

Misty

We're away from home for the night.  We've arranged to meet the vendor at the house we're buying, and will then pop in to Waterford to sign papers at our solicitor's office.

Rather than doing the trip there and back all in one day, we decided to come down the day before.  Our new house will be only a short drive from the John F Kennedy arboretum, so we decided to pop in there.  I think our Heritage Ireland cards will get us in free - not that it is particularly pricy.  But, (perhaps the time of year?) it seems it is free at the moment anyway - the gate was open and unmanned.

Very misty and wet, we didn't stay long.  But long enough to spot a lovely flowering camellia (in extras), and a very healthy, well grown, tree fern.  Our sort of place - we'll be back - many times - I suspect.  We'd actually gone partly because there was mention of a cafe on the website, so we thought we'd get a bite to eat in pleasant surroundings - but it was shut so we had to move on to find food.

An overnight stay in a hotel near Waterford.
