I sent her off with
a big hug and many thanks.
She is my sparkle

We were at the airport early. Had to wait for check-in personnel to show up. One must check in 2 hours before a flight even if it's regional. A's first lap will be to Phoenix, then Calgary, then home. It will be a long day.

Once A had her boarding pass we could have breakfast. My first coffee of the day is essential.

When she'd cleared security, I headed for the car and home. The house feels very empty without her.

I feel completely drained. I've locked the gates and may well not leave the house for the next couple of days.
