Criffel

Early morning brightness a Maryport beach plus the view across the Solway Firth to the Scottish mainland.  The mountain you see is Criffel in a haze.  Apart from the patterns in the sand there are rocks lying flat and smoothed by the sea.  These can be seen to the right and left of this photo.  Various sizes of stone, pebbles, seaweed and pools.  Maryport harbour is to the left.  I was amazed at the detail in the fields below  Criffel.
I'm going to see birthday boy, back next Monday.  If I can they'll be different photos posted.
