Security training

The class today was fun. We all pick scenarios and then act them out and I picked a good one and made it funny. My classmates picked good, difficult ones. They demonstrated good value to holding the conversations and trying even when dealing with someone difficult.

Then I took more security training and it was just awful. I told my boss I’m traumatized and want workmen’s comp.

Dan Soller, former U.S. Army intelligence colonel, told Newsweek that he believes that the "overwhelming majority" of Russia’s tanks are not even operational. Meanwhile, the Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 tanks are predicted to begin arriving in Ukraine in weeks. The manufacturer of the Leopard 2 tank has reportedly said it is ready to send dozens.

Russia has a tank called the T-14 Armata which was once thought to be revolutionary. (It has a toilet.) The British defense ministry said that Russian forces have been "reluctant to accept the first tranche of T-14 allocated to them because the vehicles were in such poor condition.”

Svetlana Gannushkina is an 80 year old Russian activist. She helped set up the human rights branch of Memorial, which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022 along with Ukrainian and Belarusian activists. Some Memorial employees left Russia after the government shut the organization down in 2021. Since the start of the war, Gannushkina and her colleagues have helped ~ 22,000 Ukrainian refugees across Russia. Her other organization provides money, food, and clothes.
