Art works

A quick trip into town this morning, to drop into the annual 'Heritage Fair' at the Millenium Galleries.
On the way through the Galleries to the room with the Fair, I passed this lovely piece of work. It was made by young people in care, working with a local quilt-making and patchwork group. I like its quirky mix of thoughts and images, and it was good to see it displayed in a prominent place.
The Heritage Fair was bustling with local history groups, and also had a stall about the public art recording project I volunteered with last summer. There'll be another round of volunteer recording soon, this time picking up on suggestions that have come in from members of the public. I'm looking forward to it.
