Grey Heron

There were 5 herons over today. The aggressive female and the new adult male were waiting by the dovecote as I went in. I gave them a quick feed as I know they follow me in. One of the crows pinched a bit that was meant for the aggressive female. It made the mistake of hopping a safe distance away only to find it wasn't safe as the female strode over and took it back!
The rest of the heron joined me mid way round the path, with the young passive female walking right up to me (today's shot). I got them all fed although it was a bit of a frenzy with lots of crest flicking.
I then made for home feeding the crows. The extra is a blurry crow with 2 dog biscuits!
