Chicken

The metro station I went to has a picture of a dog in a space suit at two exits. I can't make out the dog in the uploaded picture so I picked this food truck instead. I think I see parking tickets. I also think it looks cooler/older like this than B&W. 

I could drive to the Outer Banks, NC, and hang glide. It would be a long drive, but comparable to driving Karen to see her parents. 5 hours not including charging, eating, stretching. No plane fare, no car rental. You take off a sand dune. You land in sand. How painful can that be?

This would actually not be that expensive because it avoids the plane ticket. 

Three drones did some damage to a military complex in Iran. No one claimed responsibility. It is probably not Ukraine. It is probably Israel. But Mykhailo Podolyak, senior aide to Zelensky, tweeted: "War logic is inexorable & murderous. It bills the authors & accomplices strictly. Explosive night in Iran - drone & missile production, oil refineries. Did warn you." At minimum Ukraine enjoyed it. 

There is an interesting story of a 44 year old fisherman and his friend who were visited by Russian soldiers looking to conscript them. They had already decided, thanks to VPNs that allowed them to bypass censorship,  the Ukraine invasion was wrong, which made them unusual for their little town. They didn't have the money to escape by plane. The fisherman had an insane idea - they escape by sea - by sea, to the island of St. Lawrence which is American and is located between Russia and Alaska. The boat kept stalling. They kept troubleshooting. They rode the swells, which stopped being fun. They finally made it to the island, pulled out their cellphones, and typed, "We don't want the war. We want political asylum." They spent three months in an immigration facility and have now been released. 

Using VPNs it is estimated that 15% of Russians continue to read and watch independent Russian journalists. 

A group of exiled politicians declared that Russia should pay reparations and give up war criminals.
