Wheels, Wet and Winda

As I wrote about yesterday, my car had some tire boo-boos. All taken care of today, for a price, of course. The blip is one of the new tires. You’d never know by looking at it. I will take the car for a hand wash within the next couple of days. Those tires will looked spit shined by the time they’re done.

The other semi interesting thing today was that I had the carpets cleaned. He got here at 4:00. I turned on the ceiling fans and cranked up the heat.  It’s only been four hours so a lot of it is still wet, especially spots the fans don’t reach. Tomorrow I will put all of the stuff I moved into the bathrooms to their rightful places clogging up the house. Would you believe that the most difficult thing to move was the shredder?

In other news…I have been in regular touch with my  high school/apartment mate best friend, Linda. A while back I wrote about her and our three hour phone call. (She lives in Florida)
She called today and said she had 5 minutes and we were limited to that. Ha! Twenty-five minutes later….

My SUV needs all four tires replaced. The total cost is $1500. My wife freaked out a little. I told her that it’s no big deal and we can just rent an SUV for a day and it would only cost $50
She said I was an idiot and that we would need an SUV for more than 24 hours.
Then I explained to her that it’s more than enough time for me to swap them (the tires) for each other.
