All laid out

I'm doing some challenging blocks from a Bernina blog/quilt along.  They were first posted a couple of years ago.  I'm doing them in order, because they're quite complex, and the instructions for later blocks assume you've done (and learnt from) the earlier blocks.

The very first block involved Y seams.  This is the second block.  Four squares made by foundation paper piecing, and surrounded by many small pieces.  It takes ages to cut out all these small pieces.  But piecing them together should be relatively straightforward - no Y seams in this one.

This morning started badly with an email from our solicitor asking if we would agree to delay closure by a couple of weeks - our response was basically "no".  By a few days, maybe, but 2 weeks .....!  We've said from the start we were aiming for completion by the end of February, and the Estate Agent was all "that should be fine".  We haven't held anything up - so cannot see why we should wait till 9th March to complete!  Watch this space!
