Sand ripples

I was out this morning with the local walking group.  We were walking from Budleigh Salterton to Exmouth via the coast path.  The weather was fairly calm and relatively warm as we set off climbing up to the top of the hills.  We had a coffee break in the sun and decided we were probably all over dressed for walking.  However as we passed the caravan site and Exmouth came into view we met with some light wind.  We walked down onto Sandy Bay Beach where these lovely sand ripples greeted us.  As the tide was out we could make it around the last promontory without getting wet feet.  It was then a leisurely stroll back into Exmouth and a bus back home.  An enjoyable walk and good to catch up with some people I have not seen for sometime.

Back home it was a quick lunch and relaxing afternoon before my husband returned from his bike ride out with his friend.
