Night sky

The photo is a bit blurry because of the long exposure and the freezingness of the weather, but it shows the sky about an hour after sunset.

From the road alongside the river, all I could see was an eerie glow in the wispy ribbons of clouds across the sky. (The road is separated from the river by a flood bank, which blocks the view. I stopped in the lay-by at the bridge at Queen Adelaide and walked to the top of the flood bank to take the photo.)

Football

The lads were on telly this evening, playing an FA Cup replay at home against Fulham.

I put my stripes on and settled down to watch it.

We didn’t win, but the match, especially the dying minutes, was exciting. The lads done good.
