Stuff and Nonsense

Plume Moth

We spent the morning in the garden tidying and chopping back the perennials. There are signs of life on quite a few of them which is good. Whilst chopping down last years achillea seed heads, I disturbed this creature which I'm pretty sure is a plume moth. They hibernate over the winter apparently and come out in the spring when it warms up. It was 11 degrees today and perfect for a session in the garden, so I'm sure it will be fine and will fine somewhere else to shelter.
