Ships and Vikings

We woke up to a scattering of snow that had fallen overnight. It made Stockholm look a bit different to the last two days and much more slippery underfoot.

First stop today was a visit to the Vasa museum to see the amazing ship, preserved after sinking on her maiden voyage in 1628. It is superbly presented and we probably could have spent all day there (extra photo). We then had a look at the Viking museum before grabbing a bus across town. Annie went to the Nobel prize museum whilst I made the most of the beautiful low winter sun and walked to the City Hall. On the way and passing under a bridge I enjoyed the light enough to make it the blip.

It was dark when we met up again.on the way back to our hotel. Another lovely day.
