The second half of life..

Harrop Tarn

We decided after dinner last night that a Sunday morning walk was in order for today.  Local experience was invaluable in choosing a suitable walk and Fi and my failing joints were taken into consideration when opting for this walk up to Harrop Tarn.  A bit of an uphill for half an hour or so then a lovely, gentle walk back down the back way.  Plenty of road walking too due to road closures preventing anyone getting to the nearer carpark.  A lovely walk in a beautiful area with family - what a great way to spend Sunday.  We even threw in an afternoon tea at The Lingholm Kitchen where a local (pet?) herdwick sheep tried to befriend us.  Back to J & M's in time to watch a dominant England outmuscle Italy in the Six Nations followed by a bit of a pot-luck tea for everyone who was about........all 9 of us!  Lovely way to spend a lovely Sunday.
