Calne Town Gardens (Wednesday 15th February 2023)

There were two doctor's appointments this morning, one a short car journey away and the second within walking distance in the town centre. It was sufficiently mild that I sat in the Town Gardens to do some reading afterwards. I noticed some clumps of snowdrops there, growing at the bases of some silver birches.

There was also a beautiful array of crocuses which I would have blipped had crocuses not been the subject of my last blip, so I have put them in Extras.

I was lulled to sleep by this Valentine lullaby played on Radio Six late last night. Apparently it was inspired by the Spencer Davis Group's song Strong Love. It will surprise no-one to know that this band were strongly championed by John Peel. I particularly remember their session version of Good And Gone.
