The afternoon sun was welcome

It was a most unusual day. every patient booked for today did not attend the appointment. One asked an hour late if she could come then. Which wasn't possible. So I got a lot of reading done. And left for home slightly early.

After a short wind down, I went for a walk along the lower pipeline, and on the ay back my attention was caught by a small group of mallards. The one in  my blip had just finished a quick preen. The mallards and any other water fowl around would readily find ample water to spend time in.

The top of the big water pipe (more like an enclose aqueduct) was covered in laces with a large amount of branches, twigs and leaves from the high winds. Hard to show in its fullness.
