BEING HELPFUL ON SILLY SATURDAY

Hello lovely Blippers

The weather has been really dull and grey recently, so we decided this morning that we would stay in and help Mrs HCB to make some cards. It was quite tricky at times because there was lots of glue about and some of us, who shall remain nameless, got quite sticky, but we think that Admirer would have laughed if she could’ve seen us with glue all over our fur! Mind you, it did hurt when Mrs HCB tried to get the glue off and we were all shouting, “Ouch that hurts”, and we even noticed that some of our fur came out.

We know that people like to get a card from Mrs HCB, and she chooses them, especially for the people she is sending them to.  Sometimes people need an encouraging card with a verse on it or a funny card or sometimes just a card with a beautiful photograph. You might remember that the man in the Post Office laughs when Mrs HCB goes over there with lots of cards and tells him that she’s keeping him in work.

We do have some sad news to report today – you may notice that Taz is missing from our gang.  Last week he kept saying he was bored, was picking fights and grunting and growling at everyone and being generally disruptive. He was also saying lots of unkind things.  Although I remonstrated with him, and gave him several warnings, he didn’t change, in fact he was very unkind to some of the tiny Teds so at the end of the week I told him he would have to go back home to his family because he was upsetting the gang.  He didn’t really like hearing that, but admitted that he had anger and boredom issues so perhaps if he goes back home, he will be able to get some help because as we all know, there is nothing wrong in asking for help.

It is very upsetting when you have to say “Goodbye” to someone, but we are sure this is the right thing to do.  There is a such a lot of unkindness in the world at the moment, so we try our best to be kind, and you know that the HCBs are the same.  We hope that Taz will get the help that he needs, and perhaps one day can come back to us – in the meantime, we will carry on being helpful and kind.

We need to go now because we have lots more cards to make. We hope you have a lovely weekend and have lots of fun - and remember “BE KIND to everyone you meet - you don’t know what they are going through.”

Love from JH Ted and all the Silly Saturday Gang xxx
