A Day of Rain

A beautiful day of rain and gales, if you don't like that, pretty much an awful day. 

Up fairly early, and a morning puttering about before work.  A busy day in the airport, not for the best reasons.  Our first Aberdeen was downsized, and had to deny boarding for some.  The next three flights came and went on time, and sadly our last Aberdeen flight was cancelled.  It's terrible sad to give out bad news to frustrated passengers, but we've rebooked all passengers and have them moving ASAP.  A relaxed and lazy night at home now.

It was dry first thing this morning, but wasn't long before the rain started.  It's poured down all day, with localised flooding in places.  The winds have picked up, reaching string gales tonight, and looks like it may last a good few days.  Just as well we had a nice day yesterday, as i was soaked meeting and boarding flights in the afternoon.  A leg stretch stop on my way to work, with a rain soaked road.  Taken at Midway Stores, Levenwick.
