From The High Land of Orcombe

We’re down in Exmouth, Devon for a couple of days and after a very tasty breakfast in a cafe in the park round the corner from the hotel (harissa smashed avocado with poached eggs, feta and honey) we were fortified for a walk to the far end of the prom and over the cliff path to Sandy Bay and back.

This is the view from the top of Orcombe Point (or the High Land of Orcombe as the NT sign says; like something out of Game of Thrones!) with The Geoneedle, which marks the start / end of the Jurassic Coast and the South Devon coast in the distance.

This afternoon we were invited for a cuppa at my golfing partner Henri and his wife Trish’s holiday apartment which overlooks the marina at the other end of the prom. As a result we’ve done over 25000 steps and 11 miles today!
