Early Bird

Not the best photo but I like the wing action too much not to share • Red-bellied woodpeckers have a 15-18” wingspan and with the added black and white wing pattern, it makes for a dramatic image. Certainly a conversation starter :) • It was taken early this morning when the coffee was still brewing. I wasn’t near ready, the camera definitely wasn’t ready, but RBW was ready! His usual is suet but lately he’s more interested in snarking up raw sunflower seeds with that long 9” tongue. I got some of those pics too :) • We had a busy day running errands before the snow storms arrive. Did you notice storm was plural? Four storms are on the horizon over this next week, with a biggee potentially tomorrow night into Friday • Speaking of winter, some of our daffodils are poking up through the soil…
