Daphne and Burt

This has been the second of two dull and misty days, making outdoor photos difficult. However, this is Daphne bholua "Jacqueline Postill", which is spreading itself  around my garden. It has a long flowering season and strong scent, so useful for winter interest, and for blipping..

This morning we went to Uke class in Eastleigh. The new song today was Magic Moments,  selected I think, because its composer  Burt Bacharach died last week. There was general discussion over which was the first song we remember  hearing on the  radio or parents' radiogram. ( we are all 50s/early 60s babies!). Magic Moments is a likely contender for some of us.
