The Late Cactus

 A very wet day (again!). So, we drove (rather than cycled) to uke class, where there was a record turnout, with 50 people present. 

This  evening, we attended the monthly meeting of our  local film club. Tonight, the classic film "Double Indemnity " was being shown,as it is  eighty years since it was released. It stars Barbara Stanwyck, Edward G Robinson and Fred MacMurray, was directed  by Billy Wilder and  co- written by Wilder and  Raymond Chandler. It's still a great thriller and all the better for being in b&w.  

This morning I noticed my Christmas (surely Lent?)cactus has produced its first flower this winter; worth waiting for.
