Gently down the stream

Blue tit

Today started off a bit grim but has turned into a beauty.  I went to the reserve though caught this shot on my way back through the park.  We have a lot of alder trees in the river valley and it's often seemed to me that they keep the small birds alive through the winter, first feeding on the seeds, then on the catkins.  This was a very small alder tree, so the blue tit was almost down on my level.  Isn't s/he a pet?

Still no sign of the usual frogs/toads in the newly dug-out pond.

The rest of the day's been same-old, but very peacefully.  Have a good weekend, lovely blipfriends  xx
