Great Blue ...

... Heron.

It was very cold and windy today so we didn't plan on going out for a walk.  But on our way home from Costco we decided to stop at the Little Lehigh Trout Nursery as there are some walking trails here.  We were there back in January (when it was actually warmer) and saw a great blue heron then, too!  This is a different one as back in January.  I know because we also saw that one, too.  In almost the exact some spot! 

While I was taking my pictures I hadn't noticed the blood on the chest of this heron.  Not sure if it's a wound or if he/she is just a messy eater!  But I'm hoping for the latter!  And if it is a wound I hope it's not a bad one and that it heals okay.
