Early light

The Iron Pot Lighthouse is in Storm Bay, Tasmania. It’s near the mouth of the Derwent River. The city of Hobart is about 20 km upstream. We boarded our small cruise ship, the Coral Discover, in light drizzle this afternoon, and passed this attractive small lighthouse about an hour later. It is Tasmania’s oldest lighthouse and the second oldest in the nation. 

Our ship motored (definitely not sailed or steamed) until midnight, then anchored in calm water near Maria Island. 

Wifi and internet access is not great. I’ll post blips as I can, but probably won’t get much chance to comment on others blips for a while.
