Watching

Hard to see what's going on in this picture, Swan Island is such a jumble of dry docks, cranes, and ships. Mostly nothing happened, but we stood for a long time at various spots along the railroad track, and on campus at the U of P to watch.
Three tugboats were waiting, and we could see the dry dock (named Vigorous) was slowly sinking, so we figured the big naval ship would be moving soon. But you can't wait all day, can you. Tomorrow we'll check to see what finally transpired. Our guess is that the naval ship will either be gone, or at least moved.
When it's drier and warmer, we plan to bring along chairs, binoculars and maybe lunch, too, and just sit and watch.

My Aunt Dorothy turned 99 today, but the only thing she would say to me was her usual, dismissive, "Good-bye." I just hope she finds comfort and enjoyment in what goes on in her mind.
