A restful day

It was another beautiful day today.  We had breakfast and tidied up, I had a nice long chat with my daughter, made some yoghurt, took an alteration to the dressmaker just down the road, came back and had lunch sitting out on the deck enjoying the view - sourdough bread, avocado and tomato with salt and pepper.  Delicious!! We were expecting to go into town to meet some friends from Napier, so sat on the balcony waiting for them to contact us.  They did eventually, but they were running late returning from Waiheke and had a show to get to, so we decided to relax and enjoy the afternoon sun.  I spent the time dipping into blip journals.  MrMacD eventually went out to do some weeding and de-heading, but he didn’t last long in the heat. I spent some time checking our mobile phone bills.  It seems the provider has lowered our loyalty discount and then removed it completely without telling us.  I will have to have a discussion with them, as it seems a rather sneaky way of increasing their revenue.

We decided to have an earlyish supper so we can have an earlyish night as we have some open home signs to put up, but our Napier friends are coming for coffee during the morning and we have an appointment in the city in the afternoon, so early morning it has to be before the traffic builds up.

Having had a lazy day I needed a blip, so I took a photo from inside looking out at the deck and the view and incorporating our lovely yellow and white sun blind.  It keeps the sun off when we want to sit out with a glass of wine in the early evening, otherwise it’s just too hot.  Then I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the sunset, which was spectacular tonight.
