Inspired

Had an amazing day out today with knit1girl1 and some folks from our guild.

We visited Ardkinglas House which was incredible but the best bit was being allowed into Sarah Sumsion's studio. To see her work and her creative space was such a treat, especially as she was so gracious and generous with her time, home made cake and chat, we were even allowed to look at her sketchbooks for a few projects too. Just a delight, a truly inspirational artist. I love how she dyes all her silk yarns to achieve such rich and jewel like colours, it was such a feast for the eyes.

The children came home tonight, Noah had more cards and presents to open and we had a nice relaxed evening just sitting together.
