Frogspawn

A circuit around Risley Moss this morning. In a corner of one pond there was a great accumulation of frogspawn. The first I’ve seen this year. I saw none elsewhere, there must be something very special about this corner of this overgrown pond to attract all the frogs. I have no idea why one spawn bubble is green.

It is turning colder over the next few days, with frosts overnight. That may be a challenge for the development of the frogspawn into tadpoles.
