A little snow.

Just a little wet snow overnight. But now by late morning with the temperature over 4C it has almost all gone.

A walk outside after breakfast and this Mahonia japonica caught my eye. The selective settlement pattern of the snow seemed to me to give a rather attractive result.

Yesterday evening we enjoyed a talk on the Geology of the Lake District  at the village Natural History Society.
Whilst we were out there was a television documentary on BBC 4 on the amazing Slimemoulds. We shall enjoy watching it on catchup this evening. It was called The Blob.
