First

The first plant to flower in our greenhouse this year.

It is Primula allionii.  In the wild it grows in southern France and northern Italy where it can be found on cliff faces between 2,000 and 6,000 feet.

This is a small speciman but when I repot it it should have many more flowers next Spring. I will probably blip a much more impressive one at the Alpine Show next Saturday.
It coped with the -10C we had in December without difficulty.
