The willow flowering beside the River Frome

I went to Framilode, where the River Frome traditionally flowed into the River Severn. I stopped the car when I saw this willow tree's flowers just beginning to open and wanted to catch the moment.

The channel in which it grows seems to have just been manicured and is rather unnatural s a result compared with most of the local streams and rivers. I think it must be a product of being close to this hamlet.
