In the mist - Day 2

Seahouses in the mist this afternoon. Needless to say that with the mist about all the boats were safely tucked up in the harbour and the kiosk vendors had gone home for the day,

I've done an extra bit of manipulation on this image to bring out the underexposed feel.

It felt good to be walking around St Mary's headland again this morning - it's a year since we were last here. The cowslips and primroses are at their best at the moment and I spotted one purple orchid in full flower. just down the bank near a clump of golden gorse. The thrift and vetch plants are just beginning to emerge but there was no sign of the white campion that I spotted on the south side of the headland last year. Skylarks seem quite plentiful here and several were busy singing away - no doubt hoping to distract me from their nests. There were also plenty of meadow pipits to be seen.
