What bird is this?

I think it's a Willow Warbler (it had quite a melodious song - not chiff-chaff) and was quite happy to sing in the branches above our heads as I took this photo. As you can see the skies cleared yesterday and the afternoon was sunny. We'd just been sitting in one of the bird hides at Newton Pond where we'd watched cormorants sunning themselves; two different families of Greylag Geese - one family with three cygnets and the other with five. Swans - one nesting and a male which was seeing off the geese! Moorhens, swallows one deer on the far side of the pond and numerous sedge warblers flitting about in the reeds. There are lots of different small birds about in the dunes at the moment and I wish I was better at recognising their sons/calls. Also frogs making quite a racket from somewhere in the marshy ground.

A morning walk along the beach to the golf club for coffee followed by lunch in Craster at the `Smokery' restaurant. We then walked two thirds of the way to the castle - so a good day for mum in terms of walking.

This morning is becoming cloudy again so fingers crossed that some sun wins out in the end.
