In the round

By special request today's photograph is of my Noro Korchoran homemade winter sweater, knitted a few years ago and brought out during the coldest spells of winter.

For the knitting enthusiasts the construction is quite interesting. The main part of the jumper is knitted as a tube on circular needles up to the armhole and two smaller tubes are knitted in the same way for the sleeves. Then a few stitches are cast off from the big tube and the smaller tubes (lined up at the under arm) and the sleeve stitches inserted onto the main circular needle so that the bit from the arm holes upwards is knitted in one continuous piece (including the polo neck) with decreases at appropriate intervals to get the shape. Perfect if like me you hate sewing up.
