Secreted away

I found this little cache hidden in a hollow at the base of a tree in the woods. It looks like the mouse who hid them has already enjoyed the contents, judging by the round hole in each hazel nut.
Yesterday, when I looked at the weather forecast for today it looked like it was going to be a truly horrible day with rain and strong winds. In reality it wasn’t bad at all. A bit grey, but okay to do some gardening
