The contract is signed

After last night’s celebration we were a little slow off the mark this morning, but we eventually headed to Parnell to sign the Sale & Purchase Agreement, scan and email it back to Oamaru. From there it will be sent to both solicitors for approval.

We’ve booked the building inspection, which will take place on Wednesday. If that doesn’t turn up any nasty surprises and our solicitor is happy, the sale will go unconditional. Then there’s definitely no turning back.

It was MrMacD’s birthday today so after we’d signed the contract we went to Newmarket to browse for a couple of items we need. In the process he found himself the proud owner of a candle snuffer. It’s rather elegant. We met friends for dinner at an Indian restaurant near Victoria Park. The staff were great at helping us decide what food and wine to choose and the food was excellent, so we had a most enjoyable evening. Our friends gave MrMacD a jar of Brinjal Chutney, so he’s very happy.

Apologies, but I am still way behind dipping into journals. It’s rather frenetic at the moment, as I’m sure you’ll understand.
